Bathroom Renovation in Camden

Camden's Georgian townhouses and Victorian terraces hide some lovely bathroom spaces, and some genuinely awkward ones. We like the awkward ones. Across Primrose Hill, Camden Square and the Regent's Park borders we turn tired period bathrooms into rooms that suit the house and still perform.

The Georgian houses around Gloucester Crescent and Albert Street often have bathrooms squeezed into old dressing rooms or cut out of a bedroom corner during some twentieth century conversion. Lovely tall ceilings, odd shapes. We work the awkwardness in our favour with made to measure shower enclosures, cut to fit vanity tops and tile layouts planned around the quirks.

Over in Kentish Town and Camden Road the Victorian terraces bring more familiar problems. One shared bathroom, tired plumbing, timber floors that need proper waterproofing. Same method every time. Strip back to the structure, renew the plumbing and electrics, tank it properly, then fit good quality kit.

Canal side places near Camden Lock and along the Regent's Canal have their own issue, which is moisture. We put in stronger ventilation and moisture resistant materials throughout so the room stays dry and doesn't go mouldy.

Camden's housing runs from listed Georgian terraces near Regent's Park to Victorian terraces in Kentish Town and converted places along the canal. Conservation rules bite on external changes, but an internal bathroom job usually goes ahead without planning fuss.
